Domiciliary Intensive Outpatient (DIOP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Traditional Outpatient. Detoxification is offered to persons who require a 24-hour, medically monitoring setting to safely manage the symptoms and medical risks during the physical withdrawal from substances of abuse. The average length of treatment is between 2 and 5 days. Short-Term Residential is offered to persons needing the support and security of a 24-hour, professionally monitored, highly structured setting to establish the beginnings of relapse prevention and recovery. Day Treatment is offered to persons who have a supportive living environment, though, based on history, habits and demonstrated strength of his or her recovery plan, are likely to relapse without the assistance of an intensive, full day of programming to address ongoing substance abuse recovery issues. Day Treatment runs Monday through Friday from 9:00am – 3:30pm. Transportation to and from Oakdale is available. Domiciliary Intensive Outpatient (DIOP) is offered to persons who demonstrate the need for a full day of intensive programming, do not require the intensity and security of the Residential Unit, but do require a supportive housing environment to support his or her recovery. Unlike Short-Term Residential, which is professionally staffed 24 hours, the DIOP housing component is a recovery-oriented, community-based home shared by others in various stages of recovery who serve as recovery coaches. Intensive Outpatient (IOP) is offered to persons who need more than traditional outpatient services to develop the skills and support system to establish and maintain a lifestyle without drugs and/or alcohol. IOP combines group psychotherapy and educational groups and runs for 3 hours per day, four days per week. Transportation to and from Oakdale is available. Traditional Outpatient is offered to persons who will benefit from individual, group, couples and/or family services typically provided in one to two hours per week. The frequency and intensity of OP is highly individualized and is provided in as few as one hour per month to as much as four hours per week.
