It is no great revelation that life can be difficult at times. Work stress, family stress, self-doubt, and expectations from ourselves and others regularly plague our modern society. We all deal with these issues, but it's in how we choose to deal with them that holds the greatest significance. It is up to us as individuals to take the steps necessary to live a meaningful and productive life. As a mental health professional, it is my belief that we all have the ability to live the life we want;
sometimes we just need a bit of extra guidance. In therapy, I work with clients to help them realize their maximum potential. Through goal setting and a future-focused approach, clients are able to focus less on past troubles and more on what they wish to accomplish in the here, now and in the future. Healing, mental or physical, takes time and patience. In therapy, we not only reevaluate who we are and how we think about the world, but we also assess physical aspects of life that greatly impact our mental state and overall health. This includes diet, sleep, exercise, relationships, and overall lifestyle.
