After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering with a minor in mathematics, Dr. Bell attended the Georgetown University School of Medicine, graduating in 2003. Dr. Bell performed his internal medicine residency training at the University of Chicago, where he was selected to be chief resident. after serving as chief resident, he completed his cardiology fellowship at Cornell Medical College. During his residency and fe
llowship, Dr. Bell wrote and edited numerous book chapters, covering such topics as hypertensive emergencies, coronary artery disease, noninvasive vascular imaging, and valvular heart disease. He presented original cardiac arrest research at the national American Heart Association meeting in 2008 and was selected to present on pulmonary hypertension at the Annual Scientific Session of the New York Cardiological Society in 2009. Dr. Bell also volunteered regularly at Cornell Medical College’s free cardiovascular screening clinics. He is focused on both the prevention and management of acute and chronic cardiovascular diseases utilizing both lifestyle changes and advanced medical therapy. In addition Dr. Bell has specialized training in noninvasive imaging, including vascular imaging, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and coronary CT angiography, all of which he is either board-certified or board-eligible.
