A New York native, Dr. James Cech attended the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. After receiving is B.A. in Biochemistry, he earned his M.D. from the School of Medicine & Dentistry four short years after. His residency in Internal Medicine brought him to Portland to Oregon Health & Science University for a couple years before he headed back east for his ophthalmology residency at the University of Cincinnati.
