health agencies offering Medicare services. We provide skilled nursing, physical, occupational and speech therapy, medical social work and home health aides and companions. In addition to these traditional home health services, Personal-Touch has de
veloped specialty programs, including mental health, pediatrics, maternal/child, hospice, rehabilitation, early intervention and early childhood education, dialysis, infusion and others.

COMPANY HISTORY
Personal-Touch Home Care began operations in 1974, and since that time has grown into a national company with more than 50 locations in 11 states. Each office is a separate corporate entity, but all bear the name "Personal-Touch". Each office is licensed by the State in which it operates and 34 of the offices are certified as home health agencies offering Medicare services.
Personal-Touch provides home health care personnel and related services to individuals in their homes, and is available 24-hours per day, seven days per week. The Company's caregivers consist of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses, Licensed Physical, Speech, and Occupational Therapists, Medical Social Workers, and Trained Paraprofessionals. The Company, through its pool of approximately 3,000 nurses, provides skilled observation and assessment of the patient's physical and mental status, monitors the medication and dietary needs of the patient, administers appropriate clinical treatments, and provides instruction to patients and families. The Company's pool of approximately 12,000 paraprofessionals (comprising home health aides and personal care aides) assist patients with health related tasks and the activities of daily living.
In addition to traditional home health services, Personal-Touch has developed specialty programs including mental health, pediatric, maternal/child, hospice, rehabilitation and others. Personal-Touch also provides on a limited basis supplementary staffing to nursing homes and hospitals. In 1996, Personal-Touch opened its first Early Intervention home program and education center. Through a subsidiary, Personal-Touch also provides home medical equipment in the New York market.
