Many of our clients have traveled the world and have said,
"there's no other place in the world that they would rather live and raise a family than in Austin".
I'm so happy my wife convinced me to move here in 1981.
We love Austin and surrounding areas and we welcome others to see and enjoy it.
Spring or Fall is a great time here. We like to take a short drive to one of the best places to spend the day.
It's right outside of Austin going west on Hwy 71 towards Llano. Go past Hwy 281 about 5 miles, to country road 310, and I mean country road. It's a red dirt road that goes about 7 or 9 miles. You'll pass several low water crossings, including two creeks. The second creek will have a huge creek bed, water will be streaming from one side to the other like a snake and it will be about 6 inches to 3 feet deep in parts. There will be a huge granite wall and also large boulders in the creek bed. Crushed granite lines the creek beds. It's just one of the most beautiful places you'll ever visit.
Take a friend or a loved one there, and enjoy sitting on one of the large boulders and listening to the water.
You can start the day by going to breakfast at the Blue Bonnet Cafe in Marble Falls just past the bridge on the right off of Hwy 281.
Maybe, if you get a late start, you might want to check out Opie's BBQ. On Sunday's, WOW, they have the best Prime Rib you'll ever eat (on Hwy 71 in Spicewood).
