I'm a photographer. I see the deep down potential in people, in things, in places, and in actions.
I get this amazing opportunity to see past the version of themselves they want seen. I see past the mirage that simply satisfies the multitudes hunger for who you are.
I see the mile marker of one year older as another year full of victories. I see that one year as an essential life lesson that life goes on, and goes beautifully as one that you have loved even before their first breath, they wi
ll grow each year and be able to seek after the beauty of life that you have been given in seeing them grow.
I see the family that has stuck together throughout all the storms, the high seas, and the lowest valleys. I see the strength that runs through your hearts like gold runs through the rock of a mountain.
I see past the gelled hair, past the inches of makeup you used to make your eyes shine. I see past the toothy smile you supply and see the true joy that your heart is, at long last, having to hold from this day forward and for the rest of your life, someone that you love.
As a photographer, I am sought out for my eye. Some would say that they hired a photographer because they get blemishes out like nobody else, and sure I can do that, but being sought for my eye means that what I see with my little eye is what they desire to see as well.
I don't take pictures.
I capture the quintessence of life.
