While passive treatment methods (e.g., ultrasound, hot packs, electrical stimulation) may help temporarily relieve symptoms, we do not emphasize them because they do not work long-term or teach you self-reliance. Exercise has been shown to not just significantly reduce symptoms more effectively than passive approaches, but with many more additional health benefits.
